@TheUfoJoe I used to take the Greer approach, and the argument that since they haven't wiped us out already, they are not hostile. My views are changing and leaning towards Levenda's ideas now days. I believe they do have access to our consciousness and psyche, and they manipulate it.

@HiddenYorkshire Poor FX all around. WOTW 2008 was far superior visually, and much more effective in invoking an emotional response. I had little emotional response to this movie, not a good sign for me when I'm not at least a little anxious. Not typical Spielberg greatness, that's for sure.

@I_D_Official Some of the FX almost looked like they could run in real time on an Xbox or something. Especially the part where a scene morphs from an animal into a grey alien. The animals were poorly done in general as well. Can't believe all that got past Spielberg. WOTW 2008 looked better.

@I_D_Official My emotional response indicated my level of engagement. During a good movie, I get anxious, can't sit still. I was very relaxed through almost the whole movie. That wasn't a good sign to me. Not bored, but not engaged either. Wasn't typical Spielberg level material. FX poor too.

@JezCorden Awesome. I have the Xbox games I love to play. That's all I care about. I look forward to new hardware, but no matter what happens, as long as the games I love live on and keep being made, that's all I care about. Don't care where I play them.

@AlchemyAmerican It was ok, decent, not bad. Not typical Spielberg greatness though, and the special effects were not great. War of the Worlds from 2008 had much better effects. CGI has definitely hit a wall.
