Increase the number of positive experiences, ones that are profound enough to create positive emotions. Positive emotional experiences are more easily remembered. Then you will have these memories to carry you through the trials and troubles of life.
@RandPaul State government is sufficient for our needs. If we need anything done on a federal level then all our State governors should conference and decide which portion of their state earnings should go toward a federal cause. Do we really need congress?
@BuzzPatterson@JDVance JD may have botched it like Nicholas Trist did after the Mexican war. The US could have extended all the way to Mexico city and included the whole of the Baja peninsula. But Trist botched the deal. Perhaps JD has botched it for the US.
@BernieSanders Elon Musk creates 4400 millionaires to include hundreds of working-class people in one IPO.
Bernie has created 1 millionaire. Himself.
Stop listening to socialists. They don't know how to create wealth, only how to steal it.
@Milajoy One man, Thune, hate for Trump causes the US voting integrity to crumble. One man's hate is a nations disaster. And Democrats think Trump is the disaster? Well, no faith in elections is 1000 times worse.
@JamesOKeefeIII@janestreet First question, ask them how they define fraud. This first, fixes their position. Then ask the follow up, by your definition, xyz would be fraud, correct? Then, show them the examples.
🚨 SHOCKING BETRAYAL IN THE SENATE! 🚨
Rep. Tim Burchett just grilled Senate Leader John Thune: Why has the House bill to STOP U.S. taxpayer dollars from funding the TALIBAN been sitting for nearly 11 MONTHS with ZERO action?!
Thune admitted he hadn’t even READ it.
Every week of delay = $40 MILLION more of YOUR money flowing to terrorists in Afghanistan!
This is INSANE. Americans are funding our enemies while Congress sleeps?!
DEMAND A VOTE NOW!
RT if you’re furious! Tag your Senators! #FundTheTalibanNoMore #DrainTheSwamp #AmericaFirst
Failure to pass the Save America Act & secure our elections will go down in the history of this country as one of the greatest acts of betrayal by Republican Senators.
@RandPaul@POTUS Trump's negotiating style, sign the agreement or get obliterated. This is the way. Those little devils in Iran deserve no respect. Although I believe the Persian people would prefer the US go a little further in sending the little devils to their Allah.
Seinfeld nails it re the “privilege” narrative:
“We’re embarrassed about things we should be proud of, and proud of things we should be embarrassed about…”
Milton Friedman's greatest regret.
The federal government discovered the perfect crime in 1943: make employers collect taxes before workers ever see their paychecks. You think you earn $60,000 per year, but you actually earn $75,000 and hand over $15,000 to politicians without ever touching it. The psychological difference is enormous.
Before payroll withholding, Americans wrote quarterly checks directly to the Treasury. Picture yourself sitting at your kitchen table, writing a $3,750 check to the IRS every three months. The pain was immediate and visceral. Politicians faced constant pressure to justify every dollar because citizens felt the extraction in real time.
Withholding transforms this concrete loss into an abstract accounting entry. Your employer becomes an unpaid tax collector, and you never experience the actual cost of government. Worse, most people celebrate their tax refunds as government generosity rather than recognizing them as interest-free loans they provided to politicians. The Treasury collects your money throughout the year, spends it immediately, then returns your own cash and receives gratitude.
This system enables the explosion in government spending you witness today. Defense contractors billing $640 for toilet seats, agricultural subsidies for corn syrup, and congressional salaries for 535 people who rarely show up to work. When taxation feels painless, voters stop demanding accountability for how their money gets spent.
Milton Friedman helped design withholding as a wartime emergency measure and later called it his greatest regret. Free market economists recognized that the psychological pain of direct taxation creates political pressure for fiscal restraint. The temporary always becomes permanent in government hands, and the emergency justification disappears while the extraction mechanism remains forever.
Democrats held strong majorities in both the House and Senate when the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) was established. Throw in a dozen or more RINOs, and They created and passed the regulations that prevented ubiquitous nuclear power.
This seems familiar. Oh yeah, the Save Act. Yep, similar thing, democrats and RINOs preventing the will of the people.
