Brand New Day felt like reading a 12 issue mini-series that pulls from some of my favorite writers (Conway, David, JMS etc.), 90s animated series, Spectacular Spider-Man series, insomniac action, Webb’s aesthetic and Raimi’s sincerity.

I LOVE how Destin Daniel Cretton uses the wider universe in his MCU projects. Instead of relying on cameos, he uses familiar characters to create an authentic, lived-in Marvel Universe where it feels like everyone is living their own lives, all without overshadowing the main hero
