📌Ronin Network x Ragnarok: Monster World Partnership: Few things you might want to know!📌

There's been nothing but excitement since the announcement of @Ronin_Network and @RagmonNFT partnership in mid-April.

The game will launch in Q3 this year, but the sale of its coveted Nyang Kit is coming to the Ronin Launchpad this May 28, 9AM EST (9PM PH)!

Here are some of the things you need to know about Ragnarok: Monster World and what's about to come:

0x& and Gravity Partnership

The partnership was announced on April 26, 2023, giving birth to Ragnarok: Monster World.

Gravity, the developer of Ragnarok Online, has stepped foot in the web3 world by teaming up with 0x&. This partnership is essential for both web2 and web3. Integrating web3 technology into this billion-dollar IP means users can now experience true ownership of their in-game assets. And with these assets as NFT, users will also be able to earn, not just in-game, but in real life.

As for the web3 side, this is an opportunity to onboard tens of millions of users into the space. Mass adoption at its finest.

Like who would not want to own a Poring, right?

Ragnarok: Monster World Joins Ronin

Year after the 0x& x Gravity partnership, the IP then joined the Ronin Movement!

I consider Ragnarok Online as the King of MMORPG and we all know which chain is the King of Gaming Chains 🥷. Ragnarok has millions of users across different games while Axie Infinity, @SkyMavisHQ flagship game peaked at 2.7M DAU in 2021, this partnership is truly a match made in heaven and I can't wait to see what the "Ronin effect" will do with this IP.

Ragnarok: Monster World will be a Tower Defense Strategy game and one of its integral parts is Ragmons (Ragnarok Monsters). These collectible monsters/characters will be available off and on-chain (NFTs). A strategy that is necessary to cater both web2 and web3 players!

What we know about Ragmons:

✨Rarities (Common, Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic. All rarities start from Lvl1, highest is 10.

Genesis Tamer: The Ultimate Goal

"Tamers" are the name given to the users of Ragnarok: Monster World. There will be different ranks of tamers and none of these are revealed. Other than the Genesis Tamer, the highest and most prestigious Tamer rank of them all.

If you're going to play this game, being a Genesis Tamer IS the goal. Genesis Tamers are PFP NFTs but it's not just a PFP that you can flex. It has benefits too! Some known benefits are:

✅Early access to Irochi NFTs (No details on this particular NFT yet)
✅Guild establishment permit
✅Ragmon airdrop

We will have to wait until Q3 to play this game and I have no doubt that it will be successful. Ragnarok itself is already a sought-after IP even in Web2 space. Partner it with Ronin and there's no stopping it from 🚀 other than itself. Ronin Effect will do its thing. Mark it.

I haven't posted anything like this in a while..

Ragnarok IP (@RagmonNFT) coming into @Ronin_Network is more symbolic than you think.

I grew up playing Ragnarok Online it's part of who I am, and I mean that literally with no exaggerations.

Just by saying the word "Ragnarok", It triggers a part of my brain to hear the iconic background music of Prontera.

I am very excited that Ragnarok is coming to web3 and will be on Ronin!

Writing this piece is super difficult, because of the memories that are gushing through my mind right now...

I don't know which story to tell!

Is it about my first-ever character, a level 40 swordsman with INT and LUK (Hybrid)

My second character, a level 32 merchant that I never bothered leveling up anymore as I focused on collecting all the hats in RO, all I did was buy and sell things.

Or my level 99 Priests (main) that sometimes warp people to Izlude instead of GH /gg

I also met friends from this game that I am still friends with to this day.

Although, Ragmon won't be the MMORPG game that we enjoyed in the past.

I am still excited to play the game
It's a different take and a new experience.

What I am curious about is the Genesis Tamers,
it says on their whitepaper that a tamer will start as a novice and evolve into different Job Classes.

Aside from nostalgia, there's a parallelism between Ragnarok and Axie Infinity here are some:

1. Pay Gated by Design

When RO was first introduced to the Philippines, it was Pay-to-Play, Players had to buy cards and top up to access their accounts.

While Axie Infinity requires 3 Axies to start playing, this issue was circumvented by the "Scholarship Program",

Players who couldn't afford to buy a set of Axies play by entering a "Scholarship Program" or a profit-sharing scheme between scholars and managers.

2. Hacked

Not many people know this but Gravity KR fell victim to a hack, believed to be perpetrated by a group of Private Servers advocates who dislikes the Pay-2-Play model of Ragnarok.

This incident set back the development of Ragnarok Online for years. They thought Ragnarok wouldn't even make it out of the gate.

Lazarus Group hacked Axie Infinity to the tune of 625 million dollars.

3. Became No. 1

Despite all the troubles and competition Ragnarok and Axie Infinity have stood the test of time and were massively supported by gamers.

Ragnarok to this day is one of the most recognizable IPs when it comes to online gaming, the same goes for Axie.

Who wouldn't recognize a Poring and an Axie when they see one?

Ragnarok X Ronin is symbolic.
They were both leaders of their time.
They were both number 1

I can't think of a better IP coming into Ronin.
