@rationalyankee I don't have strong opinions about the Savannah Bananas. But measuring attendance vs. the twins is not an even comparison. The twins play 81 home games per year, so the total interest is spread out. If each had 1 game per year, the twins would have much higher attendance.

@Verizon @VerizonNews @VerizonSupport just tried to "activate" my brand new phone, which somehow resulted in my number disconnecting... (So now can't receive calls on either the old or new one.) Activating a new phone is very challenging for the "professionals" at Verizon.

@VerizonSupport Spent all night chasing after @Verizon @VerizonSupport @VerizonNews, and zero progress. This is literally the most basic process (or should be) for them. Literally can't move my number to the new phone without somehow disabling my entire number. The Worst.

For new-arrivals, it's usually by borough: Bx/Manhattan/SI* Yankees, or Qns/Bk* Mets. (SI and BK align with location of minor league teams.)

People who don't follow baseball closely tend to go Yankees.

Their so-called answer by DM was to call (yet again) the same customer service number, which we've already called countless times. 🙄

Never do business with this company.

@kpomerleau ....Not meant to imply a regressive tax is always bad. Same could be said of cigarette taxes, etc which create a net benefit. I just didn't see the internal contradiction between. "Rich pollute more" vs. "Taxing pollution would harm the poor more".

@kpomerleau Can this be internally consistent, depending how the "harm" is measured?

E.g., if Jeff Bezos pollutes 10x as much as Jon Smith, so Bezos pays $10 of the tax vs. Smith pays $1 of the tax... Could still be the case that $1 hurts Smith's budget more than $10 hurts Bezos' budget.
