Train No. 15657, Coach S1, Seat

Husband and wife forced to sleep on half a seat… RAC:
Convenience or Compromise?
A question for Indian Railways.
Traveling on an RAC ticket can be a difficult experience. Two
passengers may have to share a single berth or seat, while both
are charged their respective fares.
Limited space, interrupted
sleep, and constant adjustment can make the entire journey
exhausting. Even when a husband and wife are traveling
together, getting proper rest becomes a challenge.
The question is simple:
If passengers are paying the full
fare, shouldn’t they also receive reasonable comfort?
Is it time for Indian Railways to rethink the RAC system, or has
RAC simply become a way of managing overcrowding at the
cost of passenger comfort?
