@KasiaLDelgado@theipaper I get £2k/year NHS grant parental allowance. I don't qualify for parental learning allowance from student finance. I have a student loan £4k/yr that I'll pay back when I qualify. My childcare bill last week was £340 with my partner working from home & taking over during the day.
@KasiaLDelgado@theipaper Please could you write about student midwives and childcare? We work unpaid 40 hrs a week, sometimes more, no time for a part time job, academic work on top and run a household, but don't qualify for free childcare hours. A current petition to gov has just reached 10k signatures.
