@CBSDetroit Did they also mention how they’re closing the Children’s Center on Schoolcraft’s campus because the board of trustees &President Cerny are greedy? & how they told the center staff that “your land is more valuable than you are.” And how they’re displacing staff children & families

Community colleges should NOT be able to profit from something that completely bulldozes the lives of so many children, families, and staff.

I am forever disappointed in @schoolcraftnow and I will never be giving that school another penny. I hope others follow suit.

This is a horrible decision made by @schoolcraftnow’s board of trustees and @cernyg. They claim it was a hard decision but their treatment of the Children’s Center staff says otherwise.

In reality, all they want to do is line their pocketbooks.

The Children’s Center on @schoolcraftnow’s campus is a standalone building, all alone on its own side of campus, with vacant land surrounding it. President Cerny wants to act like it’s in the best interest of Schoolcraft students to close the center. It’s not. Here’s why:

The President of the college wants to make it seem like the center is closing because of low enrollment and a lack of available childcare for Schoolcraft students. In reality, it is because #Schoolcraft is selling all of their land to the highest bidders.
