@RRAAMalaysia Throughout human history, women have been faced with the problem of unwanted pregnancies. With safer methods available today, to deny women access to abortions is a violation of her rights. Women must publicly assert this right to remove the stigma still so prevalent.
@RRAAMalaysia@asapasia Great interaction from youth participants on nature of patriarchy and its relation to Sexual and Reproductive Rights especially for women and LBGTQs. Making young people as agents of change. Well done Nandini and Ayesha.
@RRAAMalaysia Thanks for a timely discussion on SRHR and money. Social barriers to women's SRHR has a long history. Generally, the political, social and religious elite, led the charge as they still do today. Shame on them!!
@RRAAMalaysia At this time, MOH should supply free contraceptive to all who need them. Cheaper than later dealing with problems w unwanted pregnacies leading social problems, child abuse, baby dumping and cbild marriages.
@RRAAMalaysia No woman should ever be forced to continue a pregnancy against her will. It is a violation of her right to decide and her bodily integrity. It has been described as a form of torture by Human Rights Watch.
@asapasia
