I think using ai for concept art is really stupid. But the way people are acting like the actual movie is made with ai is stupid. This isnt a Secret Invasion situation (I forgot what its called. The MCU show that uses ai for the intro)
Before y’all go crazy, there’s things to keep in mind. I doubt the filmmakers had any input in this, it was literally just used in a piece of merchandise designed by some Sony asshole who worked on Morbius.
Still, this shit sucks. And it had no place in this movie’s legacy.
No Twitter, one random concept "artist" using generative AI somewhere in the development of a movie shouldn't make you disregard the hard work most other talented artists and actors put in it.
So many people didn't actually read the article and are rushing to get brownie points about how their piece of media is better. If you looked into it, It was a rogue concept artist who did it. Every other piece of art was human made. The film is still a human made thing
Somebody from the publishing side has came out and said they didn't use Ai at all. It's just seems to be some Shoddy photoshop work that wasn't fixed. @MeinerdingArt goes through and hand picks all the art that's used for the film and they have a firmly Anti Ai Art policy.
We are not calling Tom's Spiderman Ai when it was a rogue concept art added on 1 page of a art book with human made stuff
Its disrespectful to the creative team with actual talent on the production team
steve was correct about not trusting the government to do the right thing. tony was correct about not wanting a group of superpowered individuals running around unregulated doing whatever the fuck they want. and that is my take!
