@clementinalombe Such a damn ass view if there was ever one!!..…full of pettiness and honestly I tried to resist the temptation of giving it any credence of a response but the stupidity in it couldn’t allow me to let it slide 😡
@ssishuwa@pclimb Sir…since you’re such a champion of democracy, take a count of the comments herein and accept the views of the people. There is a poll on your views and clearly your thesis has been voted a no no!!
@ssishuwa@Global_Witness Since you are 1000% of his loss and even suggesting there will be ‘industrial level’ rigging..them share the results here already Mr Palm reader
@ssishuwa your insinuation that proximity to the President invalidates participation mistakes relationship for bias.
In a small nation, it is inevitable that competent citizens will have crossed paths. What matters is transparency, not isolation. Unless evidence shows undue influence, friendship alone cannot negate integrity. To claim otherwise is to replace scrutiny with suspicion.
@ssishuwa@HOT877Zambia A c/titution isn’t (or shouldn’t be) a sterile engineering blueprint. It embodies values, narratives, moral trade-offs, identity, collective memory, visions of justice, dignity, pluralism, etc. To the extent you treat it as mere “technical drafting,” you risk alienating de masses
@ssishuwa Constitutions are not only about structures (branches, checks, rights) but about moral ordering: what kinds of dignity, equality, freedom, solidarity the society wants to enshrine. Theology and philosophy are among the disciplines that train one to think deeply about norms, values, justice, rights, obligations, human nature, the good, the tension between individual and community, pluralism. A priest trained in these can bring that perspective.
@Good constitutional drafting isn’t a mono-discipline. One needs law, political theory, sociology, history, philosophy, ethics. Dismissing a field like theology or philosophy as “irrelevant” is to impoverish the conversation. Also, theological/philosophical training often inculcates humility about certainties, capacity for dialogue, handling paradox — useful in negotiation.
@ssishuwa A priest often has moral authority, community standing, and symbolic legitimacy (for some). That can help make the process less alienating to citizens, especially in societies where religion remains socially significant. If people see someone they respect involved, they may feel safer engaging.
@HOT877Zambia@ssishuwa Many countries’ constitutional identities are shaped by religious heritage, moral traditions, theological premises (even if implicitly). Excluding those voices outright may blind the process to deep sources of moral meaning in the society.
Theology (especially in the social context) often deals with translating large ethical principles into lived community practice. A priest, if he’s been in pastoral work, has exposure to concrete human struggles. That gives him a vantage point that purely legalistic or technical drafters may lack.
@LankyObserver In this ‘Trumpian’ era you can call a president saying he reached out to counterparts in other sovereigns about possible assistance in returning suspected proceeds of public funds theft - bizzare??
Bizzare is a whole ton of rants from the president of the free world!!
@ssishuwa And what region is that Sishuwa?? Please clarify …
This “Zambezi region” people like you have coined is as sick as tribalism gets!! You are driving this narrative to divide the country into two regions because of an electoral path to presidency!! Leave the rest of us out it
Just when we are trying to internalize the theme around investing in Tractors instead of luxury cars - boom💥! it turns out a minister exchanged a mine for a Mercedes 🤣🤣
@gchelwa@HHichilema Zambia too a stand on the Ukraine vote, Govt was hugely vilified!!! That we should be non https://t.co/JluUeNZeOU they take the non aligned route here we are again - they are weak, indecisive etc!!🤷♂️ this vote was about who is right in this war between Hamas and Isreal.
@LauraMiti@sunday_chanda But ok aunt Laura PF lawlessness is almost hereditary. PF went ahead & elected ECL in Kabwe by acclamation, then wen this was contested in a court they went & connived to get a ‘consent’ judgement within one lot of them at 2am (the famous KBF woke up judges) here we are - Karma !
