man i just hate lists like this so fucking much, especially since *this* one is coming from one of the top trades in town with eyes on it all around the world.

negative reviews are one thing - they’re a part of the game even if they’ve become more needlessly rancid in recent years imo - but this is something else entirely. if a movie is outright offensive or harmful sure, have at it, but stuff like life of chuck, ann lee, and presence? i understand if one of those movies simply “isn’t for you,” but to brand it as one of the “WORST MOVIES OF THE YEAR” and disparage everyone who put their heart and soul into something that has clearly still resonated with so many other people is just so unnecessarily cruel in my opinion, and anyone who claims to be a lover of the medium of film should frankly be above juvenile behavior like this.

contrary to popular belief, i don’t like everything i see either lol! but i can leave it at that and move on with my life instead of spreading more hate in a world that’s already overcome with it - and hate directed at hardworking yet underappreciated and underpaid artists doing their best in an industry trying to replace them every day.
