The 2nd half subs and tactical changes were giving us a fighting chance. Then the keeper howler ripped their hearts out. Took until final 15 minutes to recover and remember to fight.

No, I think Pochettino did a really good job of injecting national pride and passion into this USMNT. His flaw (or failure) was losing the game that he was hired to win, and losing it in a way that undid much of the good the team had amassed through the tournament.

@AgentSmith34 But it was the team we were very familiar with coming into the tournament. This team has no general to marshal them, no heart when the chips are down, and no edge or extra gears when they need it most. They have shown us again and again.
