the more i think about everything the more it annoys me. and people choosing to ignore it annoy me even more.
we all are aware (i hope) that pretty much every member has by now, in one way or another, shown that they have their own interests, ambitions and things they would like to explore individually. and that’s expected and completely normal because they’re seven different people. seven different artists. of course they’re not all going to want the exact same things forever.
and yet almost everything about enhypen has always been built around them existing as a unit. as a group.
even their brand work has been always group centered. they’re almost six years into their career and they still don’t have individual instagram accounts. for them, individual schedules and projects are still very limited compared to idols of their gen.
and before someone jumps me, i know an ig account or a solo brand deal alone doesn’t mean artistic freedom. it’s the fact that when you put ALL of these things together, you start noticing a pattern.
if you look at other 4th gen groups, their members are able to release solo songs, write, produce, have their own accounts, do individual campaigns, perform solo stages, explore their own image…and then go right back to promoting with their group like normal.
so why does it always feel like enhypen can’t have both?
that’s the part i hate.
i never wanted any of them to have to choose between enhypen and figuring out who they are as artists.
i want all of them to be able to pursue what they want regardless. without every conversation eventually becoming “well, enhypen’s schedule is too packed to do that”…
but who set that schedule up in the first place?
what’s the point of filling every second of their time if it leaves them with barely any space to grow as individuals?
and i think that’s what gets to me the most now. seeing how much more someone can discover about themselves when they’re finally given the space to actually be involved in their own music, ideas, visuals and direction just makes me wish they could’ve had that kind of space while still being in the group too.
i don’t want them separated. i want the exact opposite.
i want them together, but i also want them to be allowed to grow into their own artists too.
i just don’t understand why it feels so difficult to have both.
@MMuscat51876@zZzZzZz7_7zZz Definitely, and I highly doubt he just voluntarily left, he wouldn’t have gave his entire soul to Enhypen and give them highway 1009 if he didn’t value them and love them, he just chose himself and I really get that and it’s such a shame tbh
@MMuscat51876@zZzZzZz7_7zZz I thought so myself, but Belift is definitely a money hungry company and ig they want them to go on tour nonstop, I believe Heeseung didn’t want to leave I just believe he wanted to have a solo so they made him choose
it's terrifying how quickly people decide someone no longer deserves basic human empathy. all because they left a group. not because they harmed anyone, not because they committed some unforgivable crime, but because they made a choice about their own life. and it didn't stop at a coffin edit it became death wishes, attacks on his family, harassment of the people around him, cruel comments about his appearance, baseless judgments of his character, and constant attempts to turn others against him. when fandom reaches that point, it's no longer about accountability or disappointment it's about forgetting there's a real person on the receiving end
