How did we get to 1M?

- 6,300 subscribers
- Daily effort from Nathaniel Smith and Dustin Wilson
- Consistent posting of shorts and tracking SEO/Analytics

And the beauty of this consistency?

We likely will get to 2 Million views in about a year and a half at our current pace.

@tjparker @A_Ciaccia I've argued for a while that our industry needs to eliminate rebates, and I'd also like to see traditional insurance networks go by the wayside as well. Opaque pricing models with multiple middlemen always lead to the end consumer paying more than they should.

@dvasishtha @operationdanish It's an E&O claim waiting to happen, again assuming this is the full fact pattern. Employer could be underfunded for their plan because they didn't account for the additional liability introduced by the lasers. However, ER signs SL policy so hard to claim they didn't know.

@dvasishtha @operationdanish If that's the case, then yes that's incompetence on the part of the brokerage. Not understanding that lasers equal a higher spec for named individuals is 101 stuff.

@operationdanish @dvasishtha @operationdanish thanks for the tag. Some more context is needed to know if $100k spec was indeed too low. Group size and historical incidence rate could impact spec choice. If broker had commission in SL then incentive for spec to be lower to raise premium.

@pharmacistjerm @operationdanish The CAA reinforces that the responsibility is of the plan sponsor aka the self-funded employer. It confirms, and enhances their fiduciary obligation. The employer typically relies on a combo of their benefits consultant, HR/CFO, & inside or outside legal counsel.
