i have yet to hear a compelling argument for why its done this way. Why would a sponsor want a match no one is watching at 2am when they could have this played in Armstrong in prime time.
i know it may seem trite to discuss sports while we are in the middle of an escalating no-end-in-sight war with our mortal enemy, Canada, but how come the U.S. Open is the *only* tennis tournament where matches on center court (Ashe in this case) go on well past midnight? Got to be sponsorship dollars forcing more matches onto Ashe? none of the other majors force the players to be out there at 1, 2, 3am. it’s crazy. Basically means shelton doesn’t even really get a day off (fortunately for him playing Tiafoe who also had a grueling 5 set match).

We’re launching tldraw flash, a new way to animate hand‑drawn ideas on the infinite canvas.
Draw a shape, press record, then drag to perform the motion. Trim clips on the timeline, export, and remix.
