@BarryOnHere@rje7 And… remembering the day I first landed in Los Angeles as a Knicks’ fan and pulled over on a freeway overpass on Sunset Boulevard to watch O.J. Simpson’s white Ford Bronco chase drive underneath… I suddenly feel incredibly old.
Now where’s my wheelchair dammit!
@SpaceBoy458 I’ve been repeating this story to anyone who will sit still long enough to listen.
I’m pretty sure a couple of colleagues now think I’m certifiably insane.
@ASmokeFleeter@TheCinesthetic Did I just spend half an hour listening to various recordings of Minnie’s LOVING YOU on very over priced noise canceling headphones? The world will never know and nobody can prove it. But I’ll never listen to the end of that song the same way again. Thanks a lot @ASmokeFleeter!
@baileylikemovie Spoiler alert! Some of us are still a little behind after getting back from #Cannes2026 and are about to catch up with OBSESSION this week.
@movieposterguy Great… now I’m going to burst into tears the moment the very first note of the very first music cue begins just remembering this tweet. Thanks a lot @movieposterguy!
@Danimalish You might have better luck using the website directly, rather than the app. Alternatively, see if the theatre where you want to buy tickets is on @Fandango or @atomtickets which might not get hammered as hard.
THE 400 BLOWS.
It helped launch the French New Wave, and its unsentimental view of childhood still feels remarkably unique. Truffaut doesn’t turn Antoine Doinel into a symbol. He lets him remain a kid, warts and all.
As well, that final freeze frame on the beach still feels like one of cinema’s great unanswered questions.
@benfritz Maybe only speaking as someone who receives at least 100 publicist pitches per day, but this is exactly the kind of email we'd love to see shared screenshots of... if only to have a good chuckle.
This is a genuinely helpful reminder.
Most moviegoers are not going to know the difference between 5-perf 70mm and 15-perf IMAX 70mm unless it is explained clearly. For THE ODYSSEY, the distinction may not be recognized when people start buying tickets, but it could matter a lot once they actually get to the movie theater.
FOLKS... There are TWO 70mm versions of THE ODYSSEY coming to theaters.
• 5-perf 70mm
• 15-perf IMAX 70mm
Make sure you're looking up the right format at the right location when buying tickets.
@odysseymovie@UniversalPics Because @IMAX is mentioned in this post, there seems to be confusion about which tickets are going on sale. This is for the @odysseymovie screenings on 70mm film in specific locations. There are a limited number of cinemas that can still play the format.

@joshbecker659 Universal Pictures is screening @odysseymovie on 70mm film in specific locations. There are a limited number of cinemas in the United States that can still play the format.

Could this be a model for historic single screen movie theatres?
They really can't compete with multiplexes in most instances, but maybe they can become something multiplexes can't replicate. Just a thought.
