@BetterCallSaul Yes, that's the quote as written, but the way Kim said it, was straight from her heart/soul. Praying she makes it back to Gene at the end, though based on that line and her other last words to Jimmy, I am not optimistic. However, I will be an avid fan of her sequel.
The Optimist Razor
When choosing who to spend time with, prioritize spending more time with optimists.
Pessimists see closed doors. Optimists see open doors—and probably kick down the closed doors along the way.
Remember: Pessimists sound smart, optimists get rich.
The Feynman Razor
Complexity and jargon are used to mask a lack of deep understanding.
If you can’t explain it to a 5-year-old, you don’t really understand it.
If someone uses a lot of complexity and jargon to explain something, they probably don’t understand it.
@keithurban1960@TheVividKiWi It's Kim who leaves me dreading and worrying about her through every episode of this season. Kudos to the show, and to Rhea, for making me so concerned about Kim's future.
@swooper74@TheAtlasSociety@pcopses Well, I know several who did start from little so definitely our perspectives are different on this. Have enjoyed our discussion, take care.
@swooper74@TheAtlasSociety@pcopses So who is John Galt? I certainly see him and Hank Rearden as creators and the gov taking from them and their companies. Never saw them not taking care of their employees.
@swooper74@TheAtlasSociety@pcopses Read it. It's about how the government reps are the parasites and use their power against the creators. Ayn Rand fled Russia and tried to warn the US about what would happen with government overreach and life under communism.
