The great Charles Barkley went off on the current ridiculous, unregulated, unsustainable NCAA NIL landscape last year:
"This is how crazy our country is... We've actually screwed up college athletics, which used to be the greatest thing in the world"
Over half of NCAA D1 Women's Basketball programs averaged less than 990 fans a game this season.
Only around 30% averaged more than 1500 fans.
Just 22 teams averaged more than 5000 fans.
TALKING about supporting Women's sports is much different than ACTUALLY supporting them...
The great irony of the Brendan Sorsby saga: he's faced a much harsher consequence by trying to avoid accountability than he would've if he'd just accepted the NCAA's punishment in the first place.

Sean Clarke's leg was broken. @urichmond tight end's commitment to @URSpidersFB was not. Clarke's injury and comeback story, in his words.

Brendan Sorsby did not act like someone who believed his actions deserved consequences — and the NFL clocked that. He did not outline all the ways he would make sure he followed rules (and laws) moving forward. The NFL noticed that, too.
