The headline is misleading. I'm not ending my term early by my own choosing. If this amendment passes it will be effective 1/1/27, and I will be removed from office.
This is the way the radical left can recall me without have to follow the recall process.
This is not about me. Whether you like me or not doesn't matter. This is about taking away your right to vote for the sheriff you support.

Just made it back home after two days of epic family, fireworks, barbecues, yachts, tall ships and flyovers.
One of the best 4ths of my life. Truly fantastic.
But I also posted a 4 minute rant about the US Navy outside Mamdani’s office and came 🤏 close to getting run over.
The USS Nimitz, USS Kearsarge and a dozen other powerful, kick ass warships sat anchored far from the parade route in Manhattan.
I wanted that beautiful carrier to sail right past Manhattan. I wanted 5” guns firing salutes. I wanted 5,000 sailors manning the rails to show every New Yorker how strong we are. How great this nation is.
I wanted a few bankers to look out from their penthouses and get excited enough to write checks for shipyards.
I wanted kids from the Bronx, like I once was, to see they can escape the slums and join something bigger than themselves.
And more than anything I wanted every communist Mamdani voter to feel the raw power of a 1,000+ foot nuclear supercarrier steaming down the Hudson.
But those massive ships I love so much stayed tucked away as party barges for admirals, VIPs and MSM cameras.
And I was pissed. PISSED the admirals kept them hidden in the upper bay.
I felt guilty about that rant on the drive home. Guilty because the pain was 5% of my weekend, and the other 95% was patriotism, pride and unadulterated love for this great nation.
Maybe I should have kept the 5% of raging anger to myself? The guilt sat with me.
Thirty minutes ago I contemplated deleting my rant.
Until I watched this.
@spencerpratt is angrier than me, yet he explains 10x better than me why anger and faults and pain are part of being American.
Watch this and demand better. Demand the SAVE Act. Demand the deportation of communists. Demand more ships. Demand an end to fraud. Demand admirals get fired for refusing to rock Mamdani’s boat today.
Get ANGRY and DEMAND that we save our Republic. That we hold our standards high.
Then wave the flag, hug your kids, yell GOD BLESS AMERICA from the rooftops and bath in the glory of this great nation.
That’s what being American is. Anger, hardship and pain mixed with optimism, godliness, patriotism and LOVE.

The Christian worldview is the only worldview that can justify and will maintain the human rights and freedoms upon which our nation was founded 250 years ago today. Islam won’t (sharia law), Hinduism won’t (caste system), Atheism won’t (no one is higher than the dictator, which led to 100 million murdered by atheistic regimes in the 20th Century).
Those other worldviews do not believe,“that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.”
Our founders knew that rights can only come from God—not governments—but that good governments are supposed to secure those rights. That’s what Christianity teaches.
Reflecting back on the founding of our country, John Adams wrote to Thomas Jefferson in 1813, “The general Principles on which the Fathers achieved Independence, where the only Principles in which that beautiful Assembly of young Gentlemen could Unite. . . And what were these general Principles? I answer, the general Principles of Christianity. . . ”
So whether you are a Christian or not, you should appreciate the principles that come from Christianity, including inalienable rights, and that governments are temporary institutions that are to protect the lives and liberties of beings that are eternal and made in the image of God—you and me.
