@atrupar To be fair, Republicans only acknowledge women’s sports exist when they can use it as a cudgel to marginalize oppressed groups. So it’s easy to see how he’d be confused.
There is no major venue in Los Angeles with a sadder liquor selection than the @thekiaforum! Whisk(e)y selection is Jack and Jameson, like it thinks it’s some kind of frat house with a $150 entrance fee….
@lawindsor@AmericanAir@SecDuffy few years back I was flying with wife and small child. They blamed missing our connection @ ORD on weather (clear skies in all locations). Rebooked us for FOUR DAYS later. Offered no concessions. Even tried to claim they didn’t have our luggage. Never again!
@atrupar I don’t follow much by way of sports outside Women’s basketball. But every time I see Smith comment on politics or The W he’s always completely divorced from reality. Which begs the question: how did he ever get such a big platform?
@JillFilipovic The notion these people have that somehow Raman in the general makes things easier for Bass than Pratt is straight comedy. Or at least it would be if there wasn’t an underpinning of “Trump regime is using this as a wedge to undermine confidence so they can interfere”
Media: “Congressman Higgins, you’re a MAGA Republican, so why did you say that the No Kings rallies were a success?”
Me: “Because we were carefully observing Ma’am. Liberals gathered predictably, weather cooperated, crowds were thin but they tended to linger and pose… it was pretty much a flawless operation. We have millions of digital images, billions of identifying data points. Height, weight, shoe size, tattoos, gait… all of it. AI eats that stuff. Success.”
@holybullies@mattyglesias Add to that: the test in question is illegal in many countries. The results are not as conclusive as folks with a fifth grade understanding of biology like to think they are, and the appeal process is not clearly defined (up to each sport’s governing body)
@DASBUNKER Depends. Do they use “bloghouse” to describe a genre of music favorably? Or do they recognize it as the derisive term it was to knock DJs playing low quality mp3s that sounded like shit on a big system?
I have a very special family. I’ve loved how the cottage has made it easier for me to attend games (16 games this year alone). So much better than a hotel. And so filled with love and laughter. 2 more trips left to enjoy it! This article is a gift for celebrating that.
Azzi Fudd's family bought a house in Coventry after she committed to UConn women's basketball
For the past 5 yrs, it's been the Fudd family's home base in CT. But as Azzi leaves for the W this spring, they too must move on
An inside look at "The Cottage"

@mattyglesias This works fine in a vacuum. But doesn’t consider the media ecosystem we’re in. If entire news empires constantly told people that Papa John’s was the best and Denino’s in NYC was trash, the same people buying the every dem is a socialist bs would blindly agree.
@modeselektor Sadly, yes. There hasn’t been enough of a shift to Bluesky for me to abandon this platform. And the basic ability to organize accounts in lists and just even having feeds in a chronological order are painfully lacking in several other platforms.
Need a better option
@timburchett Imagine being so dumb you don’t see how this would be a voter suppression measure. Especially in light of the general lawless, racial profiling ICE has been engaged in for the last year.
(Or more likely you’re just being intentionally dishonest)
Seriously @FS1 y’all gotta put a trigger warning before these half time segments. I was not emotionally prepared to watch clips of Azzi’s injuries again.
@RepFriedmanCA Thank you! As you’re my representative, I’ve been meaning to contact your office to ask for your stance here. Candidly, anyone who would vote for this, given the last year, should be primaried.
