For those newspapers who were part of GateHouse before the merger with Gannett, we've not had confidence in Mike Reed as CEO for even longer.

The company owns USA Today, and over 300 other newspapers.

The journalists want shareholders to vote no-confidence in Gannett CEO Mike Reed.

In the last six months, Gannett has laid off or bought out almost every journalist at the St. Cloud Times, a newspaper covering a metro area of 200,000. In May, there were 9 employees — by January, only one reporter was left.
