9. If your wife clings to the children, well and good. Leave them to her. Support where necessary, but stay away from her.

10. You know yourself. It is better to be called a "DEAD BEAT" than to be BEATEN to DEATH.

11. Lift weights and eat meat. Don't be thin and slender. Appear strong and dangerous.

12. If you make your wife the centre of your universe, you will lose yourself and also lose her.

13. If you refuse to listen, you will suffer the consequences of your ignorance and blue-pilled conditioning.

The Cameroonian government is about to borrow 400 billion FCFA one of it biggest loans to finance environmental transition and resilience, and social and community infrastructure.

The amount will be raised through the issuance of sovereign dollar bonds in the international market—but at what cost?

Financial news outlet Bloomberg recently reported that Cameroonian dollar bonds are the worst-performing in Africa since early June.

Cameroon's financial credibility, aside from repaying its loans and receiving a good assessment from the IMF, also depends heavily on the political environment.

International investors are currently worried about Cameroon's political future. That's because they are uncertain about who will succeed Paul Biya, the world's oldest leader, who has spent over two months abroad.

Investors in London have cited a report by Africa Confidential, a reliable outlet, stating that Paul Biya is shuttling between a Swiss clinic and the InterContinental Hotel.

Even though René Emmanuel Sadi, the Minister of Communication, said Biya is well and that he will return, investors are not convinced.

Now, as the country plans to raise 400 billion FCFA—as published by the Autonomous Sinking Fund (CAA)—Finance Minister Louis Paul Motaze is negotiating with financial houses.

Because of the risk involved, Cameroon has brought in Matha Capital as a financial advisor, along with the African Development Bank (AfDB); the African Trade and Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI), a multilateral institution specialising in trade and investment risk coverage; and the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), a pan-African financial institution specialising in infrastructure financing.

Their involvement aims to strengthen Cameroon's financial credibility.

That's because if the government goes directly to the market, investors will likely demand double-digit yields (10.5% to 11%).

This means that if the bond matures in five years, for example, Cameroon would have paid 210 billion FCFA on a 10.5% yield because of an annual coupon of 42 billion FCFA. That is only the interest. Paying back everything (principal and interest) over those five years would cost 610 billion FCFA.

In January, Cameroon raised 415 billion FCFA in bonds on the London Stock Exchange through the facilitation of Citi, JP Morgan and Cygnum Capital. But because of the risk involved, owing to political uncertainty, investors took the bet on a yield of 10.12%.

Cameroon can't take that risk anymore, and that is why the aforementioned financial institutions are involved to mitigate that risk of the planned issuance of 400 Billion FCFA bond.

🚨🇧🇫- Burkina Faso customs has registered 122 billion CFA francs ($211.8M) for the month of July alone. What the hell? This is unprecedented. Before, no government was ever making these figures public. On the contrary, they were stealing and encouraging corruption.

You see, there was a former Director General of customs Ousmane Guiro who was our neighbor, literally our house was one block down the street. I attended the same elementary school with some of his kids when he was an inspector of customs.

In the 90’s we used to play all day long and watch Manga in his house on the weekends. The gifts that Guiro was receiving from the merchants were mind boggling. I’ll spare you the details. Why am I bringing this up?

In 2011, Guiro was arrested because of corruption. Billion of CFA francs in cash were found in his house and his kids were just buying motorcycles for their side chicks, partying and wasting money.

So, what has changed with this current Director General of the customs, Dr Yves Kafando? It’s the top leadership @CapitaineIb226. When the head is sick, the whole body suffers.

La vidéo de 8 min 52 secondes postée par Rebecca Enonchong dans laquelle elle explique les causes de ses démêlés avec la Société de Recouvrement des Créances (SRC) n’a pas tardé à faire réagir cette entreprise. Dans la mise au point contenue dans le communiqué signé de Marie-Rose Messi, directeur général de la SRC, l’entreprise explique que la créance concernée trouve son origine dans un compte bancaire ouvert auprès de L’Union Bank of Cameroon (Ubc), et présentant un solde débiteur ancien. Le dossier, précise le communiqué, est transmis dans le cadre des créances compromises de cette banque, et son recouvrement a été confié à la SRC par l’État du Cameroun.

So apparently this was a scam 😪 the bank reassured us of the cards capacity to justify the cost About 200k to apply for the card, the card takes over 2months to arrive, the justification…. Its premium and only made on command. 4months later you still can’t do
Shit with it then you find out the transaction limit is still 1million like every other card like the prepaid card for 12k or momo card with half that limit except this cost 200k and oh you wanna complain? That cost 10k for the complain form and to apply for a temporal 1million increase another 10k.

Everything in this Country is just broken, a reputable Bank like CCA doesn’t mind lying or misleading its clients for profit. Shame! Now we have to make expensive concessions to meet up to our clients payments and the bank gives zero fucks!

That’s Cameroon for us it’s heartbreaking 💔
