The obsession with piercing babies’ ears is so freaking insane to me
There’s zero reason you need to add extra pain to a baby just so they can be your fashion accessory
Their pain is real!
“A Chinese billionaire speaks broken English - nobody laughs. An Indian scientist speaks broken English, nobody mocks him. A Russian athlete speaks broken English - applause. But let an African mispronounce one word… suddenly he's "illiterate." Who bewitched Africa?” ~ Professor Lumumba

While AI is supposed to complement human thinking, it is contributing to killing it by promoting mental laziness. Many university students hardly labour to think through take-home assignments that are meant to sharpen their thinking. They simply ask Apps for answers, even for research dissertations. Education institutions are challenged more than ever before to innovate to teach and assess differently in these times. Otherwise, AI combined with final exam cram-work will produce many good grades with hardly any learning taking place. We may produce a generation of humans that hardly thinks - both because it has answer machines and no time to think (ever busy scanning an endless flow of random pits of information).

🧠🤖 Dear Ugandans & beloved patients, we owe you an apology…
Turns out, we’re not just installing an MRI — we’re installing a highly intelligent, AI-powered MRI that literally reasons with the operator. Yes, it listens. It thinks. It responds.
We’re just as astonished. This machine from @SiemensHealth is one of only two in Africa (as of April 2025) — and the only one in East Africa.
Our teams have undergone intensive trainings, including abroad learning, to master this futuristic tech. We’re not just installing a machine — we’re preparing for a new era of medical imaging.
In just a few days, we open it to patients. Installation at 95%. But brace yourselves:
If by any chance you hear our team giving it verbal commands… and it replying, do not get worried!
These are the marvels of next-gen medicine — and they’re now at Kisubi Hospital. Our patients, this is for you ❤️ because you make us better each day.
COMPARE AND CONTRAST! 60 Billion Shillings goes $wiii and no arrests? And it is Alien Skin and his gang shaking social media? Meanwhile in China the ex Central Bank Boss has been sentenced to death for corruption!
In the last 8 years, at least 5,600 Nigerian doctors have left for Britain alone, leaving only 24,000 registered doctors for a population of 220 million. Others left for the US, Canada, and Saudi Arabia 1/4

On June 3rd, 1975, President Idi Amin attended the first Martyrs Day after he had signed a decree ordering the day to become a Ugandan public holiday. A day to unite all Ugandans in remembrance of all the Catholics, Protestants, and over 100 Muslims who had been killed for their religìous beliefs almost a century earlier (1885). To this day, Ugandans come together every June 3rd to honour their memory.
Happy Martyrs Day 2023!
Lower abdomenal pain,is one of the challenges a patient can face, even a diagnostic dilemma. An appendix is an organ that can get affected causing multiple complications. Laparoscopic appendicetomy is the gold standard for removal less complications&a shortened hospital stay.
