@Linda__Stevens@jacobsoboroff You are so right. Scouring the nursing homes and homeless shelters to harvest ballots with pre-printed checkmarks for the candidates is truly the upmost respect for voting rights.
@ThisOldMonster@trvsrdrgz2 It’s so crazy how willfully ignorant the Star Wars shills are about movie math. No, this movie will not ever be in the black.
Oh, you sweet summer child. You think Disney marketing is not going to get at least $150-$200 million to market a Star Wars movie? Did they do a good job? Hell no. Same way there are 20 “executive producers” who skim and grift off the top. This is Hollywood movie math and has always been way to keep the dollars flowing between departments and writing off losses on their corporate taxes. So, no, this movie will not be profitable. But it wasn’t meant to make a profit.
@TGT_OAR@jakenews4@DiamondSpiderP Fact check = Bob Iger said it. But what do your eyes tell you? How much real estate does Mando and Grogu take up toy sections at Walmart or Target? Not much at all. If that’s cumulative number since 2019/2020 when “the child” was a phenomenon, it had no staying power.
What are you talking about? The estimated $165 million budget is very likely closer to $300 million with marketing. That means the movie has to make $500-$600 million to break even after theaters get their 50% cut. It’s on pace to not make more than $350 million. How was this not a bloated mega production? This will lose a lot of money for Disney.
@Amar_Cyrus@DiamondSpiderP I blame George for trusting Kathleen Kennedy to honor his stories and characters. She betrayed him and the fans like the dark Sith Lord that she was.
@AliciaStella Say it ain’t so. It would be a crime against humanity if Universal did not send a Chronos and coins to you pre-opening of Epic like they did for other YT channels/creators. You have been the single best source of information, speculation, and excitement for Epic since 2018.
It can definitely happen. Six Flags no longer has theme park rights for DC characters in the state of Florida. WB is basically begging Universal to do something cool with their characters. And there’s nothing in the Marvel contract that precludes Universal from having DC superheroes.
