@caseyliss@siracusa The flat bottom is basically an accessibility feature. As a tall person I find it helps with getting in and out and I’ve got to imagine it’s even more helpful for people with reduced mobility.
@greg_doucette My guess is the deliberate gap was deemed to look better than having the two parts butt up against each other and not quite align right showing an uneven gap.
@greg_doucette This could be down to what clients people are using. As I understand things, people using 3rd-party clients don’t get the algorithm, instead they see tweets from accounts they follow in chronological order, but replies to accounts they don’t also follow are excluded.
@cdespinosa@NovallSwift I went to college to learn computer science. Working in a bar through college taught me (a massive introvert) how to talk to people. I can tell you which one had a bigger impact on where I am today in my career, and it wasn’t the one I paid a lot of money for.
@lexfri I’d been getting socks from Kane11 for a while but they’ve been out of stock for my size for a some time and the socks didn’t last that long. I recently bought some Dickies and they also seem comfortable. They seem harder wearing as well but it’s too early to tell.
@lexfri My answer would be “closest-to-the-mug-hand, mixed-handed”. Some things I do left handed, others right handed and some (like drinking or using a mouse) with whatever hand is closest.
@greg_doucette I have a similar looking light fixture and 50% of the time only half the lights turn on with the switch. Slamming a nearby door will reliably turn on the rest though.
@bakedleech6@SwiftOnSecurity My understanding is that there’s a lot of heat pump usage for heat in the south since people already have aircon. But heat pumps don’t work so well when temperatures are this low so additional resistive heating elements kick in leading to much higher power draw.
@lexfri@MrTeller When I had a job (in part) making online forms, @MrTeller was my go to example of why we shouldn’t require separate first and second names. I wasn’t always successful, but I got a few companies to change their forms at least.
@lexfri Your tweets about trying Ajovy have convinced me to go back to the doc about my migraines. I’ve been using sumatriptan for a while, but recently it doesn’t seem to work as well as it used to.
