And Sakic didn’t have Lemieux putting up 35 goals and 76 points in 43 games alongside him that year either.

Then Bourque added 410 goals.

Bourque won 5 Norris Trophy’s and was a finalist 10 other times.

Lidstrom was a great d-man.
Bourque was a greater player.

Bourque was a First Team All Star 13 times. Lidstrom was a First+Second Team All Star 12 times. (Bourque added another 6 Second Team All Stars.)
Bourque was 2nd in Hart voting… twice. Had three other finishes in the Top 5.

Bourque was a Top 4 d-man in the NHL from his rookie year and then like the next 16 straight years. Two MVP runner-up’s, 3 others in the Top 5. 410 goals. 1100+ assists.

Lidstrom didn’t suck.

He’s just not in the Top 10.
