White people saying they want to travel Europe because there is “more history” there crack me up. Yes, more of YOUR ancestral history. But my ancestors are in the land you occupy, the resources you consume, and the culture your ancestors tried to destroy. History surrounds you.
My students were so surprised when I offered one on one time to talk about how I could support them.
To all other instructors, this should not be a surprise.
Do better to further equity in education.
Quick tip for instructors: when you get an official notice of disability accommodations, send the student an email. Confirm you’ve received them, indicate how you will provide them, and invite the student to share how else you can support them in your class. #AcademicTwitter

Maybe if an industry is so vital to the country that they can't be allowed to strike in order to get a single sick day per year, then that is a vital industry being criminally mismanaged and should be nationalized instead of profit-motivated.

Seeing Equity Taskforce, Racial Equity Coalitions, DEI depts, etc dissolve shows that these rhythm-less “leaders” only dance to the slow songs and step on everyone’s toes. And when things stop trending they want to tear out the dance floor. Go take lessons. Not the dance floor.
