YouTube is demonetizing creators for "unresolved suspensions" that don't exist. Multiple creators are getting hit with "related channel suspension" demonetizations — even ones who've never been demonetized before. I believe this is similar to the inauthentic content wave that happened a couple of months ago. Expect it to become more visible over the next few weeks. If you get hit: it's most likely fixable. Contact YouTube directly and post about it here on Twitter. My students are covered because we have YouTube reps in place for exactly this. Just be on the lookout. Will give more updates as the situation progresses.

Hi @TeamYouTube, My channel was demonetized for “Misleading Family Content,” and I’m genuinely trying to understand what caused the decision. Since my case was reviewed by a specialized team, I assume there are internal notes explaining the main concerns. Could creators at least be told whether the issue mainly relates to the content itself, the metadata, thumbnails, titles, or something else? Without any specific guidance, it is extremely difficult to know what to correct or how to avoid the same issue after reapplying. I have been creating the same style of original animation for six years, including for several years while being monetized, so this sudden decision is very confusing. I’m not asking for confidential internal details, just enough clarification to make the right changes and comply with the policies. Thank you for your time.

We CANNOT be serious about this @TeamYouTube @YouTube So you’re telling me that I and my channel “targeted” minors due to using popular characters and that they contained “kid-friendly” elements but then REFUSE to tell me specific details so I have no choice but to age restrict everything I’ve ever done due to your failure. That’s not even the worse of this email. The fact that other channels were able to be reinstated due to providing SUFFICIENT CONTEXT about their creation is beyond disrespectful when that’s ALL IVE DONE. I’ve given you ever last example I have and you just seem to want to ignore it. The fact that to even get to this point you claim that you “consider” multiple factors due to VIEW COUNTS is STATING that we have to be popular or draw enough attention to a problem YOUR AI MODERATION CAUSED to even be considered in getting a human review,response or really anything anymore. If this isn’t favoritism then I don’t know what else is. I’ve made two entire videos on this matter and have emailed you over 100 times provided screenshots, information and details on how my content is marked not for kids and how the characters I use In my videos are TEENS and ADULTS surround an ANIME not a CARTOON where the theme itself isn’t all sunshine and rainbows. The fact that you have to audacity to even accuse me of targeting “minors” while there’s channels out there that target worse is disgusting. Fix this.
