Things most Americans agree on:
Groceries cost too much.
Tariffs suck and make no sense.
Congress and Presidents shouldn’t trade stocks.
The debt is a mess.
The border should be secure, but legal immigration is good.
Endless wars are stupid, especially ones that nobody wants and have never been explained.
Americans are exhausted.
AI is like my new best friend that also might be trying to take my job, my ability to think for myself, and my humanity in the process. Yo like I love you, but WTF, but I still love you.
Diversity is actually awesome! The opposite is boring AF.
Canadians are super fucking cool.
Mexicans are chill.
Putin isn’t a good guy looking out for America’s best interest. Rocky IV and Miracle are great movies.
Good neighbors are a blessing.
Freedom of religion and coexistence without having to blow each other up is probably a good idea.
We all question, are we alone in the universe?
We all fuck up along the way.
Epstein didn’t hang himself.
The Trumps and Epstein were best friends for decades. It’s like Bert trying to tell us Ernie was just an acquaintance in the same social scene on Sesame Street back in the day.
The Cowboys suck. Go Birds!
Things we’re told to fight about:
Me.
Laptop.
Vaccines.
Transgenders in sports.
Pronouns.
That’s the joke.
@SoundDobad I know this may sound petty, but I can’t stand it when people put photoshop a meth pipe in my mouth. A crack pipe doesn’t have that little bowl at the end. This is why we can’t trust AI. Please make the appropriate edit. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Over 70% of the East Village voted for Mamdani.
Now they’re suing Mamdani because he’s planning to relocate Bellevue homeless shelter to the East Village.
Vicha Ratanapakdee's family reacts to the judge's decision today, to suspend the 8-year sentence for Antoine Watson and order him to go straight to probation. He already spent 5 years in jail. Watson pushed "Grandpa Vicha" down during his morning walk; he later died from the injuries. I received this message from Vicha's daughter, Monthanus, just now:
"Today’s sentence is deeply disappointing. An 84-year-old man was killed in a cruel, unprovoked attack, and our family will live with this loss every day. This is not about revenge—it is about accountability. When consequences do not match the harm, it sends the wrong message about protecting our seniors and public safety. We are concerned about what this means for other families."
Jerome Powell: The Fed is concerned about the very, very low level of job creation. Over the past 6 months, if you adjust for overcounting, there is effectively zero net job creation in the private sector.
It's pretty rare that I find a tweet so offensive that I don't even want to repost it.
But, here we are.
This is Zohran Mamdani's wife, writing about Gay people.

San Fran: 35K per homeless person in 2019. $102K in 2024. +190%. Floor estimates.

NYC spends more per homeless person than the median NYC household earns. $81,705 per person in FY2025.
And $81,705 is a floor. It excludes supportive housing (~$500M/yr), mental health response teams, and NYPD encampment costs.
The city projects ~$97K per person in FY2026.
