This is a great example of the false equivalence fallacy.
Pregnancy isn't equivalent to organ donation because it doesn't involve surgical removal and implantation, nor is it equivalent to mandatory anything because it is not mandatory.

Organ removal from someone already dead has a mortality rate of 100,000 per 100,000 bodies. Organ removal from people living would be higher than 17.9 deaths per 100,000, if widespread.

The death rate from pregnancy is lower than the death rate from organ removal (if the person is alive). Therefore, organ removal is worse than pregnancy.

Literally no one is defending the holdout juror for being a "child beater." If that accusation is proven true, then he should absolutely be held accountable for it.

People are defending him for one reason: because in the Lindsay Clancy case, he was the only one interested in justice for Cora, Dawson and Callan.

Two things can be true at once. He may have done something wrong in his personal life AND still have made the right decision in that jury room.

One does not erase the other.

If the allegation against him is true, it deserves to be judged separately.

But his past domestic incident does not change the evidence he heard in the courtroom, the conclusion he reached, or the fact that he was willing to stand alone when eleven other jurors disagreed with him.

And defending the decision he made in the courtroom doesn’t mean a blanket defense of anything he may have done wrong before that.

Please separate the two.

@MaudMaron The judge ordered the names of the jurors sealed for 14 days. It might not be doxxing. It might be someone faking to have been on the jury, or a plant by a governmental organization. There's no way to know at this point.

@Oneiorosgrip Perhaps. Though, the names of the jurors got ordered sealed for 14 days on September 4th (or a bit later). I do believe that some of the interviews had actual jurors, but things could be otherwise. This case is so high-profile that the FBI faking jurors is not impossible.
