Aya was the darling of her parents, the beloved of her mother, and the cherished daughter of her father.

She had just graduated from the first stage of her education at the kindergarten. Aya's presence in any place was always distinctive, igniting the entire space with enthusiasm and playfulness, despite her calmness and good manners, despite her young age. She was, however, highly intelligent and loved to draw. Her drawings, which her mother always made sure to keep so that she could see them when she grew up, used to bring her family and home together.

But the occupation destroyed Aya's drawings and dreams and killed her, along with her only brother Abdullah, on October 17th. Their small bodies remained under the rubble for 29 days.
