Non-partisan Semi-retired public policy wonk.
Came for the politics, stayed for the footy. Passion is for footy not political parties.
No time for extremism.
@ScooterMcNeice Brad Scott was heavily pushed by the AFL as head coach. Dons tried that and it's been an utter failure.
I think a handout is absolutely fair now
@rohan_connolly it's not the same though
all non-Melbourne teams have a home ground advantage and end up with a better win/loss
and Longmire inherited a strong side with a good culture (one that he helped develop)
I understand your point, but it's not the same
@BWJacksonX@AusPoll6@huntersnintendo the housing crisis has little to do with migration (or supply)
we've been building more homes than we need for at least 15 years
there's plenty of empty properties around the country, but over 25 years they've been collected by a minority of owners due to systemic issues
@mauricebilli@AusPoll6 Almost as if the spike was the post covid rebound where previously approved people arrived on delay, along with the return of short term visa holders and student who all left
And now it's normalised
@FlightPlanPod TBF of the 3 coaches you mentioned, Rutten was the only one who tried to bring the club together, and the Board let him down
Worsfold was always at arms length
Brad was very much about making it his club his way, which Barham backed him to do, at the expense of everyone else.
@AnthP_@justaflanker11 Jones has a contract for next year and is returning from a long-term injury
Only reason he goes is if the former coach had demanded the 2 year deal
I think Gerryn is at more risk than Jones
@FlightPlanPod Could it be that most people have never seen him play?
Jack Watts was one of the most hyped "generational talent" No1 picks ever, probably more so than Harley Reid
I don't think the average fan has a clue
@ScooterMcNeice His set shots are actually quite accurate from the corridor.
But outside the posts his conversion is just deplorable.
The team targets him so often, he just has to convert better
