Last month I headed to the mighty River Dee in Scotland in search of silver tourists. Our base for three days was the delightful Little Blackhall & Inchmarlo and it’s amazing fly water.
Never known Nant y Moch fish so well, 30 to 40 trout mostly 10"to 12'. Same flies as Conwy, Pretender, Leggy Pennell & Pearly Bibio ( bust rib ) My Canadian apprentice for the day, Annie had never caught so many trout. Lost a cracker at the net, pound + I know, I know - old story
Catchy #dryfly or not? #caddisdryfly with a hot spots, peacock herl body and this is #caddisfly . Good for the trout and grayling 😉
Not only for dry fly fishing, use it as a wet fly with a strong tippet 😀
Tied on @spritehooks S2401 Dry #barbless Fly Hook 👈

"Lewes District Council has passed a motion calling on Southern Water to say how it will put a stop to illegal discharges of sewage in the River Ouse."
Way to go @LewesDC demonstrating what political leadership is all about. Who's next?

Sometimes the tiniest of rise forms belies what's beneath, the NX1 10ft 3-weight bent like a hairpin when I tightened into this beauty sipping down BWOs on the far bank. Taken by surprise, several seconds elapsed before control was finally regained…phew @semperfli@SpriteHooks
Wild brown trout, water voles and grass snakes aren’t the only things you’ll find at the @amwellmagna even it transpires the occasional @Channel4News crew. More tonight.
