Since some of you still say that namjoon and hoseok “just went to a concert” in my comments, then let’s talk about what they actually did.

RM and j-hope went to Chris Brown’s concert, happily shared stories enjoying the show, tagged him to their millions of followers and publicly described meeting the other co-artist as an honour (do your research on him, too).

They also praised a performance that, in my opinion, was vulgar and degrading towards women on stage.

They gave that association a huge platform. And shortly afterwards, Chris Brown felt comfortable enough to enter an ARMY’s tiktok comments and called her a “hoe”.

BTS doesn’t only have adult fans. There are minors, girls and boys who look up to them. Have you stopped to think about what message this sends to those kids?

That’s more than simply being in a crowd listening to music. They chose to attend, chose to publicly share the positive experience and chose to amplify it to millions of people.

And no, they’re not perfect. Artists can make mistakes. What has hurt their fans most is what came after: the dismissive, defensive attitude, the manipulation, the lack of acknowledgement and the impression that they were the ones being wronged rather than addressing why their fans were hurt in the first place.

So please stop reducing all of that to “they just went to a concert.” That’s not the whole story and you know it.
