Very good point bro. This happens far more than people would believe.
That deed of assignment. That receipt. That contract of sale. None of it protects you if the land sits under a government acquisition.
So how do you check?
The Surveyor General’s office holds the acquisition records for every state. A licensed surveyor takes the coordinates of the property and plots them against the acquisition map.
It is that straightforward.
That search costs a fraction of what you are about to spend. In this case, it would have cost an insignificant amount to prevent a ₦350 million loss.
Due diligence in Nigerian land transactions is not optional.
It is the transaction.
Before any money changes hands, your lawyer and surveyor should be running three things together:
— A search at the Land Registry
— A physical survey and coordinate confirmation
— A verification at the Surveyor General’s office.
A file full of documents is evidence of payment. It is not evidence of good legal title
I’ll rather sleep on the roof in malice than
raise my hands in violence. My ambition is
bigger than whatever reaction of violence,
that can destroy my life and render all your
evil towards me baseless. There’s nothing
like be a man there, rather, walk away.
Osiso!
4 years ago, I made this life changing tweet.
To put this into context
4yrs ago, 100BNB was worth $4,000
Today, 100 BNB is $100,000
#BNB changed my life and I will always root for them and hold my coins.
@Bybit_Official Good day Bybit, I am unable to access my Web3 wallet that contains funds. After logging in, I noticed that a completely different wallet with an empty balance is showing instead of my original one.

When you don’t have safety net and you’re taking mad risks that pay off. That’s mad respect. I respect it so much. I just met a teacher that was earning N215,000 is now worth over 100 million.
What he did
1.) added extra lesson teaching to his income.
2.) Saved and investing and everything compounded to N15 million
3.) The game changer bought 2 vaults at Ikoyi Vault for N10 Million that is worth N80 Million.
4.) Bought mortgage for one of those Lagos homes
5.) Bought some bitcoins in 2018
6.) Lives in a small flat on the mainland
I’m in awe.
I’m here to remind you. It’s not just about your salary. It is what you do with it.
You need knowledge and take calculated risks.
To everyone that shares their stories with me. Thank you 🙏🏽
