@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji : When the soul leaves the body, it no longer experiences emotions the way we do through the body and mind. Yet it carries impressions and karmas forward. To fulfil these desires and exhaust these karmas, the soul needs another body.

If we engage in spiritual practices, the soul becomes content, stable, and light. But without such practices, the mind gets entangled in negative impressions like craving and aversion. These remain unresolved, making the soul restless and eager to take another body. Naturally, when such impressions dominate, suffering becomes inevitable in the next birth.

In the Bhagavad Gita, Krishna says that spiritual efforts never go to waste. Whatever progress we make continues in the next life, and to support this journey, such a soul is born in a conducive family—often described as a prosperous household.

Gurudev also reminds us that heaven and hell are experienced right here in this life itself. We don’t need elaborate explanations—just observing the lives of labourers and those who are well-off shows how different the experiences of life can be.

Do You Know Why the @ArtofLiving Path Is the Most Precious?

@Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar ji explains,“You must know that we have got such a beautiful path. What is the specialty of our path?

Here there is knowledge and meditation.

In many places, there is knowledge but no meditation.

There is a lot of speech and discourse, but there is no process of meditation.

In many places, there is no scripture, no knowledge. There is only asanas.

And in some other places there is only kirtan. From morning to evening there is only bhajan. There is no interest in knowledge. Nothing else.

If there is all this, then there is no service anywhere.

Some people keep doing service. They are immersed in that. There is no joy.

Ask them what they are doing, they say, ‘We are doing service.’

Look at their face, it is sad.
How can a sad person do service to others?

If you are not happy, not satisfied, how will you lift others up?

If your face has no smile, how will others smile?

What are you getting here in @ArtofLiving Path?

There is fun.

There is joy.

There is bhajan.

There is worship.

There is karmakand — you get to see that too.

There is unity in that.

There is unity in knowledge.

There is social service.

There is joy with everyone.

There is happiness.

When all this is there, when life is complete, when you get a complete path in every way, that is why you should think you are very fortunate.

God has given us such a path. He has given us everything.

Now what does the one who gets everything do?

He doesn’t want to ask. He wants to share.

You have got everything.
If you have received everything, will you go around with a begging bowl?

The one who gets the rasa begins to share the rasa (bliss)

So this is our job — share the rasa.

Make the world shine.

Bring a smile to everyone’s face.

And ask, ‘What is the pain?

What is troubling you?’

Bring everyone here.
