The @EspressifSystem ESP32-S3 is quite the beast when it comes to #aiot#edgecomputing. Running the @TensorFlow lite person detection example it achieves more than 16FPS with hardware neural engine support! Without NN engine it goes down to 2.7FPS...
It is very satisfying when all the pieces come together and they just click. In hindsight the design might have been a bit inspired by the Palm III Dock :-). Good design is eternal!
Another sneak preview of the #ESP32-S3 Color Kit Pro with dock. The calculator UI is made with @LVGL and has a double life as USB keyboard when connected to a PC or Mac. Perfect hardware for a macro keyboard or password manager!
Looking for a weekend project that's sure to spark your creativity? Great news—the ESP32 Color Kit Grande is back in stock! A huge shoutout to Soubir from Australia and Charles from the US for their awesome reviews. https://t.co/TrlzJgFZtW
Sneak preview: still a prototype but we‘re happy about the direction! @EspressifSystem ESP32-S3, 320x480 display, up to 60fps, LiPo battery, battery gauge. Applications: home automation, weather display, spotify controller, Wifi marauder, macro keyboard etc
The @esp32 Color Kit Grande Starter Kit is back on stock and now comes with a illustrated step-by-step guide. This is a great project for a rainy weekend!

@optoio@highvis_supply You are both right: this is a male plug working as a sink. Male USB-C plugs are not symmetrical, the CC pull down resistor is only required or even allowed on one pin, as well as D+ and D-:

Learn something valuable every day! Can you spot the mistake why this ESP32-S3 pen drive wouldn't power up? Hint 1: The first photo of the PCB reveals the brute force fix. Hint 2: the RPi4 designers initially made a similar mistake like me 😀
Certainly the community is smarter than an individual! Just published sample projects for the @thingpulse ESP32-C6 epulse Feather C6 board. Regular code works in VS Code/ platformio, but can't get the zigbee bulb samples to work with Arduino/3.0.0 alpha
https://t.co/3l9qxA1wn1
And to be a bit more specific, the zigbee libraries can't be found. I tried to add esp-zigbee-sdk as dependency, but then other files cannot be found...
Any idea?
.@thingpulse ePulse Feather C6 is a new #esp32-C6 development board optimized for #lowpower consumption in deep sleep, with LiPo #Battery support, and following the #adafruit Feather form factor.

This is our first product with the MAX17048 Fuel Gauge chip. The chip measures LiPo voltage and reports the remaining battery energy via I2C as % to the ESP32-C6. This works surprisingly well! Now I'm looking for an interesting Zigbee demo project. Any hints?
Our new ESP32-C6 board is ready for order! It supports WiFi 6, BLE 5, Zigbee, Thread and Matter. And it comes with a fancy battery gauge to report the remaining energy via I2C to the ESP32-C6!

While testing the hardware we realized that software/platform support is far from being comleted. But there are workarounds to compile it on @platformio with Arduino framework. Eager to test the Zigbee examples!
Fresh on the test bench: the ePulse Feather C6! It comes with an @EspressifSystem ESP32-C6-Mini module and is a real communication talent: WiFi 6 (2.4GHz), BLE, ZigBee and Thread. And it is following the @adafruit Feather form factor. Stay tuned for more!
