My peaking process was a two-part process similar to Hemingway's description of bankruptcy: gradually, and then suddenly.

Ironically, what "suddenly" peaked me was this ostensibly pro-trans @jk_rowling hit piece by Vox ominously titled "Is JKR transphobic? Let's hear from her own words". Which, I mean, sounds like they REALLY got the goods right?.......right?!

I had been gradually peaking for months (without really realizing it) as I listened to story after story of detransitioners coming out talking about being permanently disfigured by ideologically captured doctors, gays and lesbians sounding the alarm of a parasitic ideology that appropriated a gay rights movement it didn't build, and began systematically erasing those that did, and stories of trans "women" being arrested for molesting/harassing girls and women in bathrooms and change rooms.

It was getting harder to ignore the sense in the back of my mind that there was something seriously wrong with gender ideology, made more disconcerting because as a liberal in good standing, I ostensibly still supported the dogmatic gnostic statements of faith like "trans women are women!"

So these thoughts were sort of percolating in the background without me being particularly aware of them, but provided fertile ground for what happened next.

First, one thing you'll notice as you red this piece is that NONE of what the article says is "in her own words" but is instead words by other ppl telling us that she's transphobic without using any actual quotes from JKR. Half the links don't go anywhere, and the other half just go to other Vox articles doing the same thing: TELLING US their interpretation of what she said instead of quoting her directly.

"Ohhhhh" I realized as I clicked link after link that didn't go anywhere "THIS is why we've never actually gotten a good answer as to how JKR is transphobic....because she isn't at all"

And in that moment everything crystalized. It's the journalistic equivalent of "Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!!" and all my lingering concerns - combined with this garbage fire of a journalistic piece - coalesced at once an I realized in an instant how ideologically captured by this morally bankrupt ideology the entire left has become. It could not have been more clear that this is an authoritarian cult masquerading as a progressive movement. And like all cults, it requires faith, fear, peer pressure, shame and good ol fashioned smoke & mirrors in order to keep it all together. Ideologies based on truth and righteousness and reality don't need its proponents to lie - constantly and incessantly - about its tenets, it's proponents, and it's opponents.

It's clear in this piece how journalistic propaganda works in the modern era: they don't expect ppl to ACTUALLY click on the links provided. I don't even think they want you really reading the article, the headline is enough (sadly, they're probably right). "Trust us" they say, as they piss down your back and tell you it's raining.

I'm writing this rather long winded explanation so that when you do read this article, you'll be able to see it for what it is: absolute horseshit and a journalistic embarrassment of the first kind.

But don't take my word for it, actually read it. Read it the same way I did; with an open mind, but a critical eye. Click on the links provided and see if they support the argument that the article says they do. Look for primary sources from JKR herself, not other ppl interpreting her words for us.
