@Ecidnac72 @riverwills7@6463dc@krassenstein PVC water pipe is one of the two most common types of domestic water pipe being installed in North America right now - the other one is metal (ductile iron.) PVC is cheap and easy to install.
@NickLongrich@eigenrobot He introduced way too many storylines, and there’s no way to wrap them all up. That’s why the show detonated the cathedral and killed off like 10 major characters all at once - to simplify a bunch of plot lines
@Like_AFolkSong All criminal offences are federal offences in Canada because criminal law is the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal government. We have one set of criminal law from coast to coast to coast
@KimwithanN@SharonaZamboni@CheeseForEvery1 I’m sorry for your loss. I had a dear family member die from stage 4 cancer, and two days before she died we got a call from a hospital trying to enroll her in a clinical trial. She wasn’t even able to speak at that point…
@AspLovePolitics @HabaneroSaucier @revhowardarson In Indigenous Awareness training, I was told that the Salish people reject the land bridge and believe that they are descended from an eagle who landed on a mountain and became a man
@CoolSmashClips @_lucyfree But you understand that Kermit was a real name before the frog, right? Kermit Roosevelt, for example?
I know there are a lot of Rosevelts but I don’t think there’s one named Sephiroth
@unsafemedicine @JoeSchembrie @JohnDiLillo Mick Jagger fathered his most recent child when he was 76, with his ballerina girlfriend who is 40 years younger than him
@joeljupp @_MLFootball The Canadian end zone is 20 yards, not 10. You need to have possession and still get close enough to take the kick, and if it’s on the wrong trajectory it can be blocked. The defence puts a returner in the end zone to try and keep the ball from going out
@joeljupp @_MLFootball When I was in high school we had a place kicker who was really good at kicking line drives, and he’d specifically practice doing it in case we were in a situation where we needed the single point. Like don’t worry about aiming, just boot the ball out the back of the end zone
@CorpWat@cityofcalgary The street sweepers fill up with water from the mains because it’s easy - it’s already pressurized and they just connect a hose to a hydrant or a fill port.
Making them use river water would require them to drive to one of the rivers and use a pump, which wastes gas (and time)
@alyssa_jayne I think burnout happens when you have too much to do and not enough time to do it in. I don’t think it’s about not caring about outcomes either. I think it’s what happens when you have 70 hours of work in your 40 hour week
