Nasscom in collaboration with Department of Commerce. organised a focused roundtable bringing together industry leaders from the IT industry, SMEs, GCCs, and policymakers to explore a critical opportunity to leverage India's expanding network of FTAs to accelerate IT services exports and support the continued growth of the GCC expansion in India. We were privileged to have Shri Darpan Jain, Additional Secretary, Department of Commerce anchor the dialogue, sharing the government's perspective on India's evolving trade architecture and enabling a candid exchange on what India's FTAs mean for the technology sector.

The discussions outlined the growing relevance of FTAs beyond merchandise trade, encompassing services exports, talent mobility, digital trade, investment flows, and GCC expansion. Participants shared valuable perspectives on market access, regulatory cooperation, business mobility, and discussed practical steps needed to help the industry fully leverage the opportunities emerging from India’s new FTAs.

We thank the Department of Commerce for continued engagement with the technology sector for their leadership and all the participating industry leaders for their insightful contributions.
