@svembu It’s not proven that Thiruvalluvar is Hindu and during that time Samana Madham (Jainism) was at it’s peak in ancient Tamilagam and also he can be also a Buddhist , so there is no conclusive proof that he is an Hindu. Most scholars states that he is a Jain.

TN's electoral psychology:

AIADMK or Jaya or MGR - no worthwhile schemes except MGR's enhanced Noon-Meal and Jaya's Amma Unavagam and Jaya is the first CM to be convicted of corruption, yet people will ignore and call it "all good"!!!

DMK or Karunanithi or Stalin - Keep rolling out schemes after schemes, show 11% growth etc. yet get all the bad names - corrupt, inefficient, family rule, etc.

Politics can be a freaking cold, heartless machine, and what happened to @iparanthamen is a stark reminder of that.

It is truly gut-wrenching to see someone who conducted himself with such dignity and grace become a victim of cheap, nasty internal bickering. Across the political spectrum everybody is shocked with this single decision.

He wasn't just a candidate; he was a shining example of a clean, decent dalit face for the party. Someone who consistently ranked among the top-5 least controversial figures in the political lineup.
