Telangana CM Revanth Reddy should stop tolerating bureaucratic failure and immediately remove the civic officials who have reduced people’s lives in Hyderabad to a daily battle with mosquitoes. For eight to nine months, residents have suffered while officials failed to solve a basic civic problem—removing water hyacinth, clearing breeding grounds and restoring some relief to the public. This is a black mark on the administration and on the officers who have shown that they are unequal to the responsibility of running a city. At the very least, the Hyderabad and Cyberabad officials should be stripped of these posts and moved out. Public anger is real, deep and growing, and this continuing failure is hurting not only citizens but also the credibility of the government, GHMC and the entire civic machinery.

For five relentless months, we have been fighting a losing battle against the mosquito menace in Moosapet area. From October till today, the situation has only worsened. In all my life in Hyderabad, I have never seen such an uncontrolled and sustained outbreak.
We raised complaints. We met officials. We were told de-watering drives were underway. We were assured of removal of water hyacinth and fogging was being intensified. The GHMC Commissioner @CommissionrGHMC Karnan made promises They are all writings on water. A new Cyberabad commissioner @MC_Cyberabad came nothing changed. Hydra commissioner @Comm_HYDRAA visited , lot spoken , but no relief.
Every agency claims action. On the ground, there is none. We are just asking removals of water hyacinth followed by anti larval measures.
Papers publishing lakhs are being siphoned off in the name of fogging. But residents continue to live with unbearable swarms every evening. The gap between official claims and ground reality has never been this stark. Two lower rung officers Naresh and Ranjit talk smoothly but the didn’t accept my invitation to come and visit our apartments during evenings to know the problem.
This is not just inconvenience. It is a public health risk. It reflects systemic civic negligence.
Hyderabad deserves better.
If the municipal administration cannot control a basic public health issue like mosquito breeding, what does that say about urban governance? The silence from the highest levels is even more disturbing. The Chief Minister, who also holds the municipal portfolio, must step in. Civic health cannot wait for file movements or review meetings.
It’s about accountability

Wake up GHMC!
Night Sleep and calm evenings are our fundamental right.
The mosquito problem continues in the city despite repeated complaints, x posts, and even media reports. While the GHMC kukatpally zonal commissioner, Apoorv Chauhan, informed me that a tender had been floated to remove water hyacinth and assured that the work would be completed within a ten days or two, more than two weeks have passed and nothing has moved on the ground. He remained incommunicado.
So what is causing the delay? Why is the process stuck? This video shows the reality we are struggling to even step outside our homes. Walking outdoors has become impossible. Even inside our houses, despite taking all preventive measures, mosquitoes remain a serious problem.
How are residents expected to reclaim their evenings or live normally in such conditions? Or sleep.

CCTV Captures Attack on Security Guards by Blinkit Workers in Kukatpally
Hooliganism by Blinkit delivery workers and their associates was reported at the Rainbow Vistas RVRG gated community in Kukatpally on Sunday. Trouble began when a security guard stopped a delivery worker of Blinkit for entering the premises without mandatory permission for both workers at the gate.
Following the intervention, a group of delivery workers and their associates gathered at the spot and attacked the security personnel on duty. The assault, which was captured on CCTV cameras installed at the gated community, left two security guards injured.
Similar incidents involving delivery workers had earlier been reported from cities such as Mumbai and Noida, and the latest incident signals the emergence of such violence in Hyderabad as well.
A complaint has been lodged with the Kukatpally police, and CCTV footage has been handed over as evidence. In response to the incident, the Rainbow Vistas RVRG management has suspended delivery services by Blinkit workers within the gated community.
