@slcmof it looks like V with better graphics. there are a couple things we’ve seen that you can do that you can’t in V. you may be right, but no one in the general public knows yet.
@FunSpeculation honestly, unless you do sell/lend/trade often it’s probably best to break your discs after you digitize to safeguard the games on your account. we really need the ability to lend/trade/sell digital licenses between accounts. at the very least they need to revamp family sharing.
@emilunagames you could argue that Sony should have started using unique IDs in anticipation of this eventuality too, but the only reason MS had this in place is because they wanted to do this a decade ago.
@carygolomb it’s a nice gesture to let you bring some games onto your account as they kill physical media just like Sony, nothing more. it makes Helix not having a disc drive excusable. “you had the opportunity to digitize with your One/Series.”
@ArkVks@davidscottjaffe as long as you don’t use their IP in the video or they don’t have other contracts in place embargoing talking about it, no, you don’t.
@CorbynRed no sense in fighting it. people are always going to try and define new games in terms of popular games that came before them, even if it’s not really accurate. it’s an effective way to market and allow gamers to quickly relate to the context of the game type.
@iCahrys@Gothalion i would love this. i quit playing real KT just because it’s kind of a pain to keep up with new sets and books (assembly/painting/money). i don’t think GW will ever do a direct 1:1 of one of their tabletop games though because it would cannibalize the TT.
