Regardless of the setbacks, I have managed to get out and jog at least once a week. I’m still feeling good. I might not get to achieve my goal in the short timeframe I created for myself, but it won’t stop me from reaching my goal at all. I might just need a little more time.
I have really fallen off the wagon the past two weeks! There was a lot happening that was blocking me from achieving my goal!
1)Hip pain 2)Incorrect gear 3)Isolation until negative result due to casual covid contact
4)Trialling new medication that is making me unwell!
Took a step back this week to rest & let my body heal. To prevent future injury to my knee or hip, I’v decided to do longer runs twice a week and walk every other day in between, instead of running 4 times a week.
I run more comfortably after a longer rest anyway 🏃🏽♀️ #MARK320
I have hit my first major roadblock in achieving my 10k goal, knee & hip pain! I assume this might be attributed to incorrect footwear (hard to fix when shops are shut!). Went for breakky & a walk thismorning to regroup and reflect. Potentially need to tweak my goal… #MARK320

After a very long day at work yesterday and accidentally back handing one of my cactuses, I thought I would treat myself to an extra rest day🌵😭
Today & took myself on a walk and sat out in the sun with some music, attempting to motivate myself for tonight’s run.

Midday run today…BIG mistake! Needed to stop a few times due to overheating! Initially I felt disappointed, until I checked my progress and realised I had made it to 5ks 🥵

Today is my ‘rest day’. Over the weekend I was diagnosed with ADHD. While I am unmedicated, to keep motivation going and symptoms at bay, I need to exercise every day. My rest days now consist of a brisk walk or two & some stretching/rolling. #MARK320

Today’s evening run along the usual track. We moved a lot over the weekend, so instead of pushing myself to run further, I kept it shorter and tried to run a little quicker. Cut two minutes off my time since last week 🌟 #MARK320

Saturdays run resulted in completing a 5.1km run. The extra kilometre almost killed me! It’s safe to say that without the motivation and encouragement of my running partner, I most certainly would have given up during the last leg! #MARK320

Currently as of July 26/21 I can run 4.1 ks and will try to improve by distance and time by the end of each week. 🏃🏽♀️ #trackstar
When Covid started I quit exercise; that was until a few weeks ago. I have recently started jogging in attempt to help with motivation and better mental health.
For my #MARK320 improvement project I will be a running a few times a week and tracking my progress to my goal 10ks!
