My manager didn't even wait until end of month to ask us to stop using copilot and just use claude. I get that the previous model was unsustainable, but does it have to be _this_ expensive?

Yeah steam machine isn't overpriced, it's just an unfortunate situation given the current market. Similarly, surface isn't overpriced, it's just an unfortunate situation given the current market.

Hate to see that "new surface = copilot+ = baseline 16GB" is gone but🤷‍♂️

This. They literally can reuse the same small chassis for the base and put the RTXSpark in there and get like 10X perf increase (idk, maybe at least 5X?)

Or just sell the monitor separately already lol

I'd pay $4,299 for a Surface Studio 3 with Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme or RTX Spark

Improvements I'd like to see over the Studio 2+

• Upgradable SSD
• Thinner bezels
• 120hz refresh rate

Do that and I'll get it in a heartbeat (please at least consider it)

@alexrealtweets @TheGalox_ 1st gen 12" runs just fine. It ofcoz ain't going to run like its exlite sibling, but I was working on small-to-mid scale C++ projects on this little perfect tablet. If you can't wait, I suggest you give it a try.

@BojanSala @WindowsLatest @vkrajacic It is still faster than avalonia in C# though. Not to mention upcoming cswinrt 3.0 which removes even more performance bottlenecks.

There are also fast C++ apps out there, TTB, Fluent Cleaner, etc. My app aren't on the store so I'd skip that but I made SwipeNavigator lib

@BojanSala @WindowsLatest Avalonia definitely isn't faster nor lighter. Not until it works with C++. WinUI with C# is also NAOT ready (see shell's latest run dialog)

@TheGalox_ It has always been, not becoz of the hardware but the software. I was working on idlgen (C++/WinRT library) on my surface pro 12" (!).

@nickchapsas Becoz it's better in some ways? Claude is literally slowing me down whereas the assign to copilot UX on github is still unmatched. Not to mention region lock issue
