@Apubuck@GodLogic_GL@Riley_Gaines_ Jesus Christ is not Isa.
They deny his crucifixion which logically tells you that they cannot be the same person.
Not to mention that the characteristics do not match between the two.
They aren't respecting Jesus Christ, just their doppelgänger crafted for them.
@Saad153597@ahsardwd@122tim1@sneako This is the same issue you raised with Christian manuscripts.
Later evidence can report an earlier transmission, but what independently verifies the link back to the original source?
The evidence we have that these transmitters heard muhammad directly comes from later reports.
@Saad153597@ahsardwd@122tim1@sneako Doesn't that only verify that thousands agreed on the same words, rather than independently verify that those words were exactly what muhammad originally recited?
There is a missing validation link there.
@Saad153597@ahsardwd@122tim1@sneako Reminder that your claim of a pristine, unbroken chain implies end to end
I'm not asking whether you could reproduce the same text today. I'm asking how you establish that the text they memorized was transmitted from muhammad without alteration. What verifies the starting point?
@Saad153597@ahsardwd@122tim1@sneako That doesn't address the point. You've shown how later generations could preserve the same text, not how you establish a pristine, unbroken chain from muhammad to the first generation.
What independently verifies that starting point?
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow That's still "trust the first witnesses".
If the companions' testimony is the evidence for muhammad's exact words, and later witnesses only confirm the companions, what independently checks that first link?
The circularity turns it into a "trust me bro".
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow If muhammad is the first kid and the companions are the kids who heard him, what lets us check the companions' copy against muhammad's actual words?
If all the later kids copied from those same kids that is just checking each copy against the previous copy not checking muhammad.
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow If 100 kids copy the same sentence, their agreement proves they copied the same sentence. But does it prove the first kid heard it correctly?
That's the missing step: how do we know the shared source matches Muhammad's original words?
@bumbadum14 Jesus Christ was crucified, their doppelgänger of Christ named isa was not. Only made to appear so via the koran. So can't be the same person.
Paul is never mentioned in the koran. They attack him because he is the direct line to Jesus.
Look up islamic dilemma of free will.
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow Isn't everyone agreeing with each other different from proving they remembered muhammad's exact words? What would let us check that they got his words exactly right?
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow And how do the overlapping witnesses establish what muhammad originally said, rather than simply showing that later witnesses agreed with each other?
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow Sure, but what would let us know the text being memorized and standardized was exactly what Muhammad originally recited?
Isn't that the step that still needs to be demonstrated?
@louisra68224693@Zeeeee_xx@Nicholas_Bow What specific evidence shows the koran today is word for word what muhammad recited? If you can't name it, aren't you just asserting it?
@enesovat22 If Paul was the person who supposedly corrupted Jesus' message and Christianity, why wouldn't the koran simply name him and tell us what he got wrong?
