Still wild to me that a genuinely decent wedding in Lagos now costs north of N40m. Makes you wonder; what kind of net worth does someone in their early 30s need just to afford a wedding, buy a decent car, and live in a decent apartment?
The cost of starting a family has become staggering. Entire country is cooked.
As someone who does M&As across North America, I can confidently assure you the U.S. market is in a different universe. The scale of capital is unlike anything you’ll find in Canada or almost anywhere else in the world. They’re simply not comparable.
Web 3 bros are trading stocks like crypto. Drawing lines and expecting 80% drawdown on a stock cos you think it’s a memecoin lol. I just dey laugh them
$OKLO down over 77% since when I called it an obvious short. Now I have taken a small position here at $44 cos I think it’s going to be one of the biggest winners in the federal nuclear energy initiative. A lot of research goes into some of my positions but DYOR regardless.
$OKLO is an obvious short but not cos of this. One of my biggest concerns is that the company will need to keep raising equity to fund capex buildouts, which will dilute shareholders and reduce forward EPS. Nuclear power plants are notoriously tight-margin businesses, so forward EPS dilution only makes sense if the ROIC from each reactor more than offsets that dilution and that’s unlikely here. Anyone telling you to long $OKLO here is a stone-cold retard who shouldn’t be taken seriously. Literally any idiot could have made money from $OKLO cos everyone is a genius in the bull market.
