This scam is becoming very popular. Another angle is that they send you pictures of your "puppy" and ask for additional monies for "vaccinations" or similar. They will try and drain as much money out of their mark as they can. And you will not get a puppy in the end...
Always report any identity theft, successful or not, to the IC3 to help the #FBI and other government agencies understand the full breadth of the problem, and, just maybe, they will receive some additional funding to fight this scourge.
