@LSpencerEdD Our district had a late work policy, any work turned in 1 day late can only earn up to a 70 and any work after that is not accepted. Teachers are reprimanded for accepting late work past the day. It’s supposed to teach responsibility.

Admin: getting feedback from faculty is important. It gives them a sense that their opinion is valued while you disregard anything they suggest. It keeps them at bay until they start complaining again. At that point, give them another meaningless survey and repeat the process.

It’s true that admins should “inspect what they expect.” Accountability is a real thing. But they should always assume Ts are trying to do the right thing. Every teacher wants to be a good teacher, & this assumption provides a good foundation for the teacher/ admin relationship.
